Airport-parking site faces water permit rejection
The St. Johns River Water Management District is expected to refuse today to issue an "after-the-fact" permit for stormwater and wetlands work first sought in 2007 by an offsite-parking business near Orlando International Airport. Complicating matters, the business' longtime consultant for environmental permitting, John Miklos, is also a member of the water district's board. "I don't get any special treatment over this, which is why my client is getting denied," said Miklos, president of Bio-Tech Consulting Inc. of Orlando.
